Meet Brio 650: commercial-scale air purifier for quiet, constant clean air delivery
Brio 650 commercial-scale air purifier quickly cleans the air in large spaces, trapping fine and ultrafine particles to below 0.01 microns including aerosolized viruses, pathogens, allergens, mold, environmental dust, wildfire smoke, and ozone.
Developed by researchers at the University of Washington, Brio’s patented APART electrostatic technology tackles the top air cleaning goals for larger spaces:
• Rapid pathogen, PM2.5 and ambient ozone removal
• Constant clean air delivery without performance drop-off or filter clogging
• Ultra-quiet operation on all fan speeds
• ASHRAE Standard 241 compliance
• Low maintenance and operating costs.
With these features, Brio 650 eliminates the gap between HVAC systems’ air cleaning capability and truly clean air and is also the ideal companion to ductless systems.
Brio 650 commercial-scale air purifier is now available in the US, Canada, and selected international markets.
Brio 650 removes:
Viruses & Bacteria
PM2.5
Ozone
Auto exhaust
Wildfire smoke
Environmental dust
Mold spores
Pollen
Dust mite waste
Combustion by-products
Microplastics
Cleaning products
Printer & copier toner
Asbestos fibers
3D printer ink
Ultra-quiet operation, non-disruptive sound profile
A noisy air purifier is hard to tolerate. It will get turned down or turned off, defeating its purpose. Brio 650 provides ultra-quiet operation the highest fan speed, and a pleasing sound profile, eliminating annoying pure tones, to ensure a non-disruptive (and effective) air purification experience. Brio’s minimal backpressure allows for lower power use and quieter fan operation; In addition, the R&D team at the Agentis Air with innovations borrowed from nature, created optimal airflow with minimal noise and the elimination of pure tones.
Ambient ozone removal
Ambient ozone can often be above safe levels indoors and can be a health hazard, even at low levels. HEPA air purifiers don’t remove ozone. Brio 650 does, using catalytic degradation, the most effective means of ambient ozone removal available today. Brio’s Refresh Plus filter can remove ambient ozone for up to two years before filter replacement is needed.
ASHRAE Standard 241 compliant
Certified independent testing confirms that Brio complies with ASHRAE Standard 241 Control of Infectious Aerosols requirements as an equivalent clean air source, safely replacing fresh, outdoor air in periods of elevated infection risk management, such as pandemic events or wildfire smoke infiltration. Using Brio 650 allows a rapid, targeted, response at much lower expense. Beyond those situations, compliance also means that Brio 650 can safely and successfully be employed during lower risk (everyday) periods to support health and wellness by improving general air quality.
Low operating costs
Brio’s APART Collection Cartridge can last 12 months or more, while staying at peak effectiveness. This gives Brio a more affordable cost-to-own profile than comparable HEPA-style air purifiers and significantly reduces maintenance. To stay at peak performance, a comparable HEPA air purifier may need three, four or five filter changes in the same amount of time. Over several years and with multiple air purifiers in an office or home, the cost difference and labor savings can be significant.
Brio 650 advantages over HEPA and MERV filtration
- Brio removes UFP that lower MERV filters can’t
- Brio’s technology is non-clogging. HEPA and MERV filters clog with use, reducing performance, and require frequent replacement, increasing cost and landfill waste
- Tests of Brio's patented technology show it stays at or above 90% of original CADR. Under identical conditions, HEPA air purifiers drop to 50% or less of their original CADR
- The filter media replacement interval is considerably longer, which lowers cost and maintenance
- Brio uses less energy than higher-MERV-rated filtration solutions
- Brio removes ambient ozone, which HEPA and MERV filters can’t
