Agentis Air to present “Air Filtration and Dental Settings: The Science, Efficacy, and Practical Applications” course to the New York State Academy of General Dentistry on June 14th.
Rockville, MD, June 6, 2023—Air-purification technology company Agentis Air will present a live, web-delivered course, “Air Filtration and Dental Settings: The Science, Efficacy, and Practical Applications,” on June 14, 2023, to New York State Academy of General Dentistry members.
The course, presented by Ramin Rezaei, Senior Aerodynamic Engineer at Agentis Air, will provide an overview of air filtration science and the process of eliminating airborne particles using various systems, with an emphasis on air filtration in the dental office setting. This will include a description of HVAC air filter options and their limitations, and the options for in-room air purification. The course will provide a set of considerations used in the selection of in-room air filtration options.
In addition to airborne viruses and pathogens, dental practice employees and visitors are at a higher risk of exposure to harmful ultrafine particulates generated during dental procedures. As a result, the indoor air quality in these facilities can be much worse than other workplaces. “A three-step strategy of awareness, assessment, and action can be employed in dental practices to quickly improve indoor air quality. We look forward to sharing this course as a starting point,” notes Agentis Air president Larry Rothenberg.

Rezaei is a mechanical and aerospace engineer, specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis with more than 10 years of experience using CFD for various applications such as Thermal Analysis, Multiphase Flow, Contaminant Distribution, and Design Verification. Mr. Rezaei has extensive experience developing air moving systems, air filtration systems, and room air purifiers.
